whos got it/getting it?

mines supposed to be here by nov 2 but i might get it today nov1 becuase it is already out for delivery at 6 am in my city.

want to try and see who can get the lowest played time?
or try best time with getting all the extras and side stuff in game?

i usually use a strategy guide when i play FF mainly becuase it makes it more fun for me to get every single side quest and extras. and yeah i got 100% completed on FFX-2 Razz.

but im thinking i might beat it without the strategy guide first and just aim for having fun etc, then after that go and beat it with the strategy guide and get everything. then possibly after that beat it for speed. or i might just use the strategy guide only when i get stuck or something.

so who wants to compete? we can wager gold in wow if you want lol.

It's only around a 40hour completion but adds a ton more hours if you go for all the bonus content like the hunter stuff. I won't be picking it up though because I don't have a PS2, don't plan on getting a PS2, and won't get a PS3. Wii360 > *

damn 250+ hours on ffX??? wow. i didnt use a strategy guide for that one but i spent like 35-45 hours or so on it. ffx-2 i used a strategy guide, and ff8 i used an online guide. ff7 i beat without a guide and ff9 i beat withough a guide the first time then with for all teh extras took me like 55hours for that one.

i plan on picking it up when i get some extra money or maybe just renting it if i can find somewhere who rents it. i hate buying rpgs because i beat them in record times and i find it a waste unless they have multiple endings or a changing story.

who can say no to the final fantasy series? :/ hopefully they kept that dodgeball/waterpolo game it was pretty fun.

it seems an alright game right now. they changed the combat situations. its not random anymroe its sort of like guild wars fights where mobs run around and you can target them and engage etc or just walk around. one thing im having getting used to is the right anologe stick used for changing camera angle, they have it inverted its really annoying casue i push left on teh anologe stick and it turns the camera right etc.

yeah its getting interesting but still nothing really exiciting like with final fantasy 7 or 9 or even 10 wher eyou get pulled into the plot right away. i really like the gameplay though and the battle systems etc. oh btw hers a tip: on teh license boards try to get your chracters a quickening each. they are usualy near the borders of the license board, quickenings own if you get lucky.

quickening system kinda sucks though cause its slightly luck based.after having a char use a quickening you come to some other screen with some animation when you see a party members name in white on the bottom right with a shape corresponding to the contorller button (IE triangle circle square X) push that button, if everyones name is grey then hit R2 to shuffle and if its stil all grey hit r2 again to shuffle again, this is wher the luck come sin you have to get lucky from hitting R2 several times like a slot machine in order to get the chars name in white with the button next to it. you have 4 seconds to push a button if you dont you run out of time. although i got a combo of 5 from it which means i pressed the button corresponding to the character on 5 different times during that quickening, it did a lot of dmg, about 3k to teh main target and like 1k to surounding targets, and im only lvl 14.

try to get treasures in each area, and always try to check for elite hunts from teh clan hall in rabenaste or the bulletin board in that tavern on east side rabenaste. make sure to sell your crap loot.

btw, thers a really good sword in king raithwalls tomb that you can get only by defeating te first moving wall, its probably the toughest fight you will have, what i did was have them do immidiatly a quickening for the 3 chars already in the party then i switched one out and did another quickening with him then switched another out for another quickening so i had 3 quickenings total hitting for a total of 20k dmg or so then at that point i just hammered the wall down with my hardest hitters, didnt use heals at all just substitued heals with potions since i had 75 of em.. that wall doesnt drop the sword, ill leave the rest to you unless you want me to explain how to get the sword but once you defeat that wall its downhill from there.

all your chars have quickenings?
i could bring it down without using 3 different quickenings.

first grp did quickings all 3 chars did it got liek 5 hits
switched someone out for another person on sidelines with full mist points and quickenings, did another 5 hit quickening.
switched antoher person out to do same thing to get another quickening.

took out about 3/4 of the hp with those 3 quickenings then i jstu meled him down.

te sword called demonsbane is the sword you get it will be the best sword untill about lvl 30.
