Well Morluck I was never a Transformers fan, so I didn't know, and thus, don't care about, the particular changes they made. Also, I probably didn't notice as many inconsistencies with regard to these changes. There are certain things that don't make a whole lot of sense, but then again, if they didn't have Sam take the cube, then there wouldn't be much of a movie. This happens in a lot of movies: the director has characters doing things when there is a better/safer/easier alternative so that they can make a movie about it, even though it isn't necessarily the most logical thing to do. Generally what happens in these situations is that there is something in the movie to show why that is the best option. Here, I think the director's wanted to try to keep the humans as part of the plot and not have the Transformers do everything. Also, I believe the Autobots were trying to protect the cube, and wanted the humans (specifically the US Military) to take it away so that then they could fight the Decepticons, and as a last resort destroy it, as what happened. |

I agree. The movie was fun; but I like the old stuff more. Was cool seeing the new looks and that... robots looked more like Evangelion though. Still cool. Go see Sicko :] |
